Becoming An Artist
As far back as I can remember, I was drawing. I was probably drawn to it, pun intended, from watching cartoons, specifically Saturday morning cartoons. Yeah, I loved cartoons. So inevitably I drew my own characters and comics. So from elementary school I knew that I wanted to be an artist. Where that would take me, I didn’t have a clue…but I wouldn’t change a thing, well, maybe not taking out school loans. But that’s another story for another blog.

So where am I now? I’m at a turning point where all roads are converging. All my attributes as an artist are being convalesced into a place where I can work on each segment. It’s been a long time coming though. As I am prone to work on one style at a time, this realization is exciting yet challenging. And it extends to more than just visual art (I will discuss those in other blog posts).
As for blogging, these posts will cover the mindset in creating, accomplishments made, lessons learned and a place to showcase my work. The multiplicity of work will be on many different canvases utilizing a variety of media. Hopefully the intent of encouragement, communication and challenging ideologically will prevail in this endeavor. Join me in this journey of self discovery and servitude in artistry.
